Teaching style

As an experienced educator with over 23 years of teaching mathematics, my approach is focused on making learning engaging, accessible, and practical for students of all levels. I believe in creating a student-centered environment where each lesson is tailored to meet diverse learning needs. I use a combination of visual aids, interactive activities and real-world applications to help students understand complex concepts in a simple and enjoyable way. My lessons are structured using the BOPPPS model to ensure clear objectives, participatory learning, and meaningful assessments. Whether teaching in the classroom or online, I strive to make math relatable and fun, empowering students to succeed and develop a strong foundation for future learning.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I am honored to have won the prestigious Microsoft Teachers Forum Award at the country level. In recognition of my contributions to education, I was selected to participate in the World Teacher Forum, held in Cape Town, South Africa, in 2010. Microsoft graciously sponsored my trip, covering all expenses for a memorable seven-day experience. This opportunity allowed me to connect with educators from around the world, share insights, and further my passion for teaching. It was a truly transformative moment in my career, and I remain grateful for the recognition and experience.

My own education history

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, which laid the foundation for my technical and problem-solving skills. In addition to my engineering background, I have pursued various Cambridge certification courses to deepen my expertise in mathematics. These courses include: - O Level Mathematics 4024 - IGCSE Mathematics 0580 - Additional Mathematics 4037 - A Level Mathematics 9709 - Bespoke Programs - Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) These qualifications reflect my commitment to continuous learning and my passion for mathematics education, enabling me to teach and inspire students effectively across different academic levels.

Additional biographical information

I have had the privilege of teaching mathematics at various prestigious schools, where I have been able to foster a deep appreciation for the subject in my students. Currently, I work as a Math Coordinator, where I am responsible for overseeing the math curriculum and supporting the teaching team. I have also had the opportunity to give training sessions to teachers, helping them enhance their instructional strategies and integrate effective teaching techniques. In addition to my teaching career, I am the founder and administrator of the Facebook page Free Mathematics for All, dedicated to providing free math resources and support to students of all levels. I am also passionate about using new technologies in teaching and always look for innovative ways to enhance the learning experience. I run the YouTube channel 2easy2learn, where I upload educational tutorials to help learners improve their mathematical skills. To further expand my reach and support to students, I have developed my own website, 2easy2learn.
