Simple PowerPoint with characteristics of rural, suburban, and urban communities with pictures. This is a quick introduction slideshow.

Use after reading Flat Stanley. You can use these with the mini notebooks and have the Flat Person ride on top or you could use these with regular Flat Stanley's Just edit the letters to make it work for you. Each student will need a roll of Smarties candies for this activity. Students pick type of sentence and write correct punctuation on the candy. Glue candy at the end of the sentence. Students will use periods, exclamation marks, and question marks. This could be used as a teaching activity or an assessment tool.

Simply print and have students glue raw elbow noodles where apostrophes belong in each contraction, or laminate and use as a quick assessment or center as students place apostrophes (noodles) on page and remove.
