360 Degrees Math

I used this activity at the beginning of the Geometry school year to introduce my students to constructions. We played with the compasses during class and then I modeled how to create the 6 petal daisy. Students received this guided booklet with precise step-by-step examples to complete on their own. Differentiate learning for all students as they begin to explore and peer teach calculating the area and perimeter of polygons. They will decompose the polygons using the areas and perimeter formulas of squares, rectangles, triangles, and parallelograms alone.
