Currently, I am teaching Fifth Grade Math in Virginia. This is my 27th year of teaching. I began teaching Pre-Kindergarten for 3 years and moved to 3rd grade for 3 years. I moved to 4th grade for 11 years and now I am happily teaching Math in 5th Grade.

Roman Numeral Numbers War Math Game
Students absolutely love playing the game of War! Instead of standard numbers, the numbers are in Roman Numeral Form. An accountability sheet is included in case you wish to check how students are doing. A blank set of cards is also included if you wish to extend the numbers. This is a fun and exciting way to have students practice Roman Numbers. It is a great addition to math stations, Guided Math, and enrichment.

Experience

Teaching style
Hands-on, interactive, technology are just a few of my teaching styles. Every unit that I teach, I find a book to introduce the topic and use many games to re-enforce what I have taught. Small grouping when students need extra help and enrichment activities for students who need higher thinking are also part of my plan.
