Currently, I am teaching Fifth Grade Math in Virginia. This is my 27th year of teaching. I began teaching Pre-Kindergarten for 3 years and moved to 3rd grade for 3 years. I moved to 4th grade for 11 years and now I am happily teaching Math in 5th Grade.

Students will find the mean, median, mode, and range of a set of numbers from the task cards.
There is a recording sheet to record the answers.

These are great activities to be part of a game, a math center or station, or independent activities.

Mean, Median, Mode, and Range Activities using Dominoes
Students will use dominoes to find mean, median, mode, and range. There are 10 tasks for the students to follow by picking up the amount of dominoes indicated on the task.
Students will be getting calculator practice.
Directions for finding MMMR using decimals are included. Finding MMMR using decimals is a great way to review decimal computation.
Students love to practice mean, median, mode, and range with this activity when I use it as a math center.

Teaching style
Hands-on, interactive, technology are just a few of my teaching styles. Every unit that I teach, I find a book to introduce the topic and use many games to re-enforce what I have taught. Small grouping when students need extra help and enrichment activities for students who need higher thinking are also part of my plan.
