Open House is one of the most important events of the school year! To help things run smoothly, I utilize stations for parents to rotate through as they explore their students’ new classroom. In this packet you will find signs for different stations and the forms for parents to complete at the stations. Managing student behavior can be tricky! With this visual your students will know exactly where they stand  This behavior chart is nautical themed with 6 levels. Students begin on the “Ready to Set Sail” level and move according to their behavior. I utilize clothespin with their names or class numbers. To keep things easy at home and at school, I sent home a weekly homework contract! The assignment goes home on Monday and is due by Friday. This allows the students to chose when they complete the activities. They also must read twenty minutes a day and have a parent initial it.

Keep track of your parent communication this school year in one binder! This form has a spot to mark the following: -student name -parent communicated -type of communication -date and time -reason -outcome of the communication. TIP: Label dividers with each students' name OR their student number. Then place several copies, front to back of the form! This will help keep you organized :)
