This map is used to expand a student's way of thinking. It is used to help students write out their ideas/thoughts on a subject to further their literacy and writing capabilities. This product has 3 different maps: 3 branches, 4 branches, and a 5 branch map. EACH one has its own activity sample/writing sample with it. This Circle map is to provide a blank template and an introductory activity. Includes: A blank map, a K/1 activity, and a 2/3 activity. However, you can use the blank map activities on any grade. Provided is a powerpoint that is editable (you can write over it) and a PDF so you can print out with ease.

Students will read a short story and then summarize what happened in the story. This can be used as a comprehension check or before starting a Literacy unit. There are 2 versions. Version 1 has the students using line paper to recall/summarize. Version 2 has a graphic organizer to put the events they recall in order.
