Experience
I have taught self contained third grade and fourth grade. I have recently transitioned into teaching as a departmentalized third grade science teacher. I also teach reading small groups for the third grade.
Teaching style
My teaching style is a combination of facilitator, demonstrator, and emphasizing active learning. I believe the best way to teach students is through engagement, and engagement comes from being an active participant in your learning. I do strongly demonstrate skills with my students and as I allow practice, I want to facilitate. You can call me a "helicopter teacher" because I want them to have as many resources and help they can get.
