4th Grade Crew

This is a weekly schedule to promote independent work for 3rd grade students who use the Common Core Enriched Edition Sadlier Vocabulary Workshop (Green) books. This is laid out so that all activities in the book get done along with extra practice for those who finish way early. I also use the same vocabulary words as their spelling words so all activities practice both the definitions and how to spell the word. Activities are laid out for a M-Th schedule and a test every Friday.

Use this to track your students in their Word Study (using the Words Their Way assessment). Track their errors, their groups and scores along with tracking which sorts they are on and when. Documentation column included.

Use this to bullet point your topics of discussion for each core academic which includes their strengths, goals and social & behavioral. This is catered to a resource room setting.

To launch our opinion unit and getting some movement in, I use a "This or That!" game. Students are presented with two choices in the same category and have to move around the room to assigned areas to agree. Visuals are on the slides as well!

Individual worksheet for students to define a word, draw a picture, write the definition & come up with their own definition. Can turn this into a science vocabulary book.

A list of reader's response questions appropriate for 3rd grade readers. These are weekly activities I use for students who are working independently. They read the book and choose questions to answer based on that book.
