I am a fully qualified and experienced music teacher, passionate about teaching piano, keyboard, composition, theory, musicianship, music craft and aural skills! My own education history
I completed my music and education degree in 1989. Because my degree included a high level of advanced music studies in conjunction with in-depth teacher training, it gave me excellent preparation for teaching both music classes and one-on-one piano tuition. During my university years I majored in advanced piano with Dr David Jones. After graduating I also continued further piano studies, including completing my AMusA diploma in piano performance.
I always enjoy staying up-to-date with ongoing professional development, and over the years have participated in masterclasses with Gordon Watson, Gerard Willems, Philip Shovk, Warren Thompson, Clemens Leschke, Danielle Salamon, Richard Morphew, Simon Tedeschi, and Gilbert de Greeve.
I am a fully accredited member of both the NSW and Victorian Music Teacher Associations.

Over the years, while raising my own children and teaching in my private music studio I have developed many strategies to cut learning tasks down to size, and encourage students to have fun with their music & piano practice without sacrificing musical excellence.
I love to inspire students and endeavour to make their music learning journey as smooth as possible, motivating and empowering kids with confidence through their own musical development and personal achievements.
All my teaching material has been tried, tested and refined over a couple of decades of teaching, and hundreds of students' exam preparation for both AMEB and Trinity College music exams.
