Experience

I've been teaching at a public high school near the Texas-Mexico border for the last three years. In that time I've worked closely with a team of incredible teachers in the Algebra I strand. Together we bounce ideas off of each other to create resources made specifically for our students and their needs!

My own education history

My educational history is fairly non-traditional. 1. I was homeschooled along with my four siblings until I was 15 years old and entered public school during my Junior year. 2. Due to my home education I felt like I lacked the fountain of knowledge many of my peers had fostered throughout their public education; I truly believed I was "stupid" when I entered public school. 3. My Algebra II teacher saw something in me that I couldn't see myself. She and all of my other teachers inspired me to help other students recognize the potential they may not see. 4. I worked towards a B.S. in Mathematics and graduated Summa Cum Laude - all thanks to the teachers who helped me grow along the way.
