Make Your Biography Reports Interesting. Students research a person in history (I have my students read a "Who Was?" book for their information) and fill out their information paper. They then make a person out of a Pringle can to represent who they are. Product includes samples of people, information sheet for students to fill out, and email to parents about the project.
Planning papers and rubrics for reflecting on any book. This includes expectations for historical fiction, biography, and non-fiction book reports, as well as rubrics.
After a student reads a book, reflecting on what they read is so important. This framework has the students introduce the book to the audience, and then answer three of 31 unique questions to help the student analyze the book. The student must use text evidence to answer the questions. There is also a second framework option that lets students write about the theme of the story using text evidence.
Have your students explore a website and fill out this chart using the information they learned. They can then use the information to write an essay about the civilizations.

After a field trip, have students divide their paper into four sections and write/draw about the trip. Make sure they have a title at the top of the page. This is a rubric for their poster.
