This is a great poetry resource for teaching your students how to write poetry, especially in free verse. The following features are highlighted with sample poems from a variety of sources:

This is a file with ten word sorts. They correspond directly with the Words Their Way Consumable Program (#s10-20), but also work alongside the individual/smaller Within Word Pattern book if you re-align it (the numbers are just slightly off from the book). This selection of sorts works on short/long vowel combinations. I will also be adding Sorts 1-9 as well as 21-30 in the coming days.
