Experience

I am a Special Education teacher with over five years of experience teaching middle school students on Long Island, NY. I’ve taught Core Math 7 and Core Math 8 (Special Class Math), Resource Room, Academic Skills, and ICT classes in both Math and English. As a Wilson Reading certified educator, I specialize in creating resources that support diverse learners by combining strong instructional strategies with accessible, engaging materials. My goal is to design resources that help all students build confidence, independence, and a love for learning.

Teaching style

My teaching style is collaborative, interactive, and student-centered. I love co-teaching and creating a classroom environment where every student feels supported and challenged. I integrate technology to make lessons more engaging and meaningful, and I design interactive activities and games that keep students actively participating. My goal is to make learning fun while building skills and confidence, especially for students who need extra support to succeed.

Awards & shining teacher moments

My shining teacher moments happen when students who once felt defeated begin to believe in themselves. As a special education teacher, I work with diverse learners who benefit from patience, structure, and encouragement—especially in reading and math. Helping students gain confidence, celebrate small wins, and develop independence has shaped how I design my resources. Everything in my store is classroom-tested and created with real students and real challenges in mind.

My own education history

I have a strong background in both general and special education, with degrees in Child Study, Special Education, and Mathematics Education. I’m also Wilson Reading certified and just recently completed a Graduate Certificate in Educational Leadership. My education and training help me create practical, engaging, and effective resources that meet the needs of all learners.

Additional biographical information

I’m a special education teacher with experience supporting students who need explicit, structured instruction—especially in math and intervention settings. I create resources that are practical, easy to implement, and designed for real classrooms with real learners. Most of my materials were created out of necessity for my own students and refined through daily use. When I’m not teaching or creating, I’m usually running on coffee and spending time with my family.
