¡Hola! I'm Amber, a passionate EL and Spanish teacher with 13+ years experience teaching in the high school setting. My journey with languages has fueled my love for teaching and creating engaging, effective resources for language learners. I know firsthand the challenges and joys that come with mastering a new language, and I strive to make that process fun, interactive, and rewarding for my students.
With a background in Spanish, English, and English Language Learners, I create resources that are rooted in best practices for language acquisition. Long Way Down, Final Project
This document includes two options for student to choose from as a final project for the novel Long Way Down by Jason Reynolds. The first option is a visual timeline of the characters encounter and how these encounters change the main character. The second option is a symbolism poster in which students have to choose 5 symbols in the novel, describe their meaning, and why they are important to the story. There is a rubric included.
