I'm currently in my 9th year of teaching Special Education self-contained in Kindergarten - 2nd grades. I taught Special Education Resource for one year to students K-6th grade (and a few middle schoolers).

Teaching style

Enthusiastic and VISUAL! I'm such a visual person, I have to have graphs and visual representations. I guess that's why I teach Special Education - I benefit from the picture schedules too!

Awards & shining teacher moments

Little boy who didn't speak a word to me for 2 entire weeks was leaving the classroom one day and turned around to say, "I wub eww, Ms. Bwana." **still warms my heart!

My own education history

Bachelor's Degree from Samford University in Elementary Education K-6 and Special Education PreK-2. Master's Degree from Auburn University in Special Education K-12.
