About the store

Experience

I've been teaching middle grade mathematics in sunny south Florida for 10 years. My position has allowed me to teach students of different abilities. I am continuously working on mastering my craft with my 7th accelerated students to prepare them for Algebra. Additionally, I teach a resource math course for students needing remediation and additional support.

Teaching style

My teaching style changes throughout the school year from August towards May as my students become more comfortable with the content and I am able to allow them to work together and collaborate. Our main focus is being able to be comfortable with the skills first, and then be able to apply the skills to different situations and scenarios. Creating an environment where learning is often created by learning from mistakes and practicing making perfect and better understand the way numbers work is something very important to me.
