About the store
I began my career in education as a substitute teacher in special education classrooms, moved up to classroom assistant/paraprofessional, then to classroom teacher, primarily with children on the Autism Spectrum. I taught for 3.5 years in a charter school for students with Autism and Developmental Disabilities and have been teaching in traditional public schools for 10 years. When I created my TpT store, I was teaching on the A-Team. That's what our school referred to the four Autism classrooms, which were part of our district's Autims program. In 2019 I began a new position in a new district as a LD/Resource teacher. I still have the opportunity to work with students on the Autism spectrum, but work with students K-5 in Reading, Writing, and Math with various abilities and disabilities. I created this store as a way to share the things I create to use in my own classroom. As a full-time teacher and full-time single mom, I am not prolific in creating content, but when I do provide something, it's because I have or am using it with my own students. I hope what you find here is helpful to you in your own classrooms.

SpEd Staff Weekly Instructional Planner (COLOR)

This is a COLOR pdf version of a weekly instructional plan sheet I give my Instructional Assistants as well as use myself. I have myself & two assistants, so my schedule rotates on a 3-week basis. Using my master weekly plan for each grade/subject/group, I transfer the information to these individual sheets for each staff member according to the schedule for the week. This allows each assistant to have a plan for the students she is working with for the current week, and what those students need

Teaching style

I've often found it difficult to find just what I need when teaching my students and have to modify a good deal.

Additional biographical information

I grew up in the Lowcountry in South Carolina. I love the Palmetto State! I am a divorced mother of two boys with a Beagle named Zelda (after Fitzgerald, not the Nintendo princess). I love reading, creating, advocating for public education, and I'm learning to play piano on an iPad app. I would love to learn tap dancing. I love getting visits and/or hearing from my former work babies and their families!
