This Close Reading Prompt prints in booklet (clip book) format and was created using MSPublisher. See illustration for end product -a beautiful booklet when printed in color. The Prompt journal includes all 6-7 Gr Literature Reading Common Core standards and can also be used by teacher during Literature Circles.

Students Independently 'mirror' the journal guidelines into their own Composition (Spiral Bound) Notebooks. This Guideline is useful to students who have previously learned Literary Terms (Characterization/Plot, Conflict/Setting). When Printing: Select 'sidefold' option.

This is a sample booklet of Close Reading Prompts. Prompts hit all RL Standards at the 4-5th Grade Reading Levels. Using Power Point allows for printing variations (3 slides per page will add lines for responses) or projection via Smart Boards or other such devices.
