This activity is a problem solving unit based in real-world application. Students design a travel trip with designated budget, car, and destination. This was designed for gifted 3rd grade math students but could be adapted to any upper elementary level. This provides the task cards, budget sheets, and directions. Kids have been having a blast trying to figure out everything from food budgets to gas mileage.
