This activity is a problem solving unit based in real-world application. Students design a travel trip with designated budget, car, and destination. This was designed for gifted 3rd grade math students but could be adapted to any upper elementary level.
This provides the task cards, budget sheets, and directions.

These are some display statements using Studio Habits of the Mind that are perfect for any art classroom! I used the RECITETHIS website to create these mini-posters. You can re-color them on Microsoft Word to fit your classroom colors! Use these for assessment prompts or just for display to guide students in their thinking during artist statements or self critiques.
This alignment template can be used with my learning targets for K-1, 2-3, and 4-5 to input your lesson plans and check off which targets you are hitting throughout your curriculum planning. This is a handy tool when pre-planning for the school year and to check for alignment.
