About the store

Experience

I have taught kindergarten for seven years and taught preschool for one year. My one year of preschool taught me so much about what kindergarteners truly need!

Teaching style

I love to meet students where they are: behaviorally and academically. I like to utilize whole group mini lessons, but focus a majority of time on structured small group lessons while the rest of the class participates in meaningful (but still fun!) independent work.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I have been nominated (by my school) for teacher of the year twice, and have been on a grant committee when my school received a large reading grant.

My own education history

I have my bachelor's degree in elementary education, an endorsement in kindergarten, and my master's degree in reading.
