About the store
I've taught multiple grades in a variety of schools - from extremely high-performing gifted students to low income, non-AYP schools. I'm certified 1-6 and have interned in 1st and 4th, but taught in all the others. My favorite grade is 3rd. I have also taught in three different charter schools as well as traditional public schools. I worked at the Kennedy Space Center as part of a Summer Industrial Fellowship for Teachers. During that time I shadowed college students from around the world who worked with NASA and government contract employees. During this time, I developed many lesson plans for Dynamac Corporation and NASA and my own personal use. I also am a founding board member for one of the most successful charter schools in our county and assisted in writing two additional charters.

If you like Harry Wong, you will love these procedures! Each year that I have taught, I've modified these to my liking. I never post rules in my classroom. Each child gets a folder at the beginning of the year with these sheets inside (I use plastic protectors for the best results). Students can refer to procedures at any time, as can you! I have examples of how to head a paper, what to do when you're done with your work, how to line up, how to work in small groups, and more! I have also include

Experience

I've taught multiple grades in a variety of schools - from extremely high-performing gifted students to low income, non-AYP schools. Teaching style

I enjoy thematic teaching that reaches multiple intelligences. I like engaging activities that promote student inquiry and hands-on group activities. I often have students work in small groups, but in a structured environment. I do give students opportunities to evaluate decisions they have made regarding their behavior and I always allow students to take some time to compose themselves, should they need to do so. I provide a safe learning environment. I like students to show their knowledge in a variety of ways but also expect that they can transfer their understanding to a standardized test as well.
