Experience

I have been working in Special Education for about 10 years. Before becoming an Education Specialist, I was a paraprofessional. As as teacher, I have taught K-12, but Middle School has always been my favourite! I am entering my 7th year as a Middle School Education (Resource) Specialist, but also have taught in SDC non-categorical and SDC-Emotional Disturbance programs.

My own education history

Before becoming a teacher, I studied history and legal studies as an undergrad and I am a certified paralegal. I also have a Mild/Mod Education Specialist Teaching Credential and an MA in Special Education.

Additional biographical information

I am a California native and live in the Bay Area with my husband. I love travelling and am so happy that my job allows me the time to explore during the summer months. Some of my favourite places that I have traveled to are the Cook Islands, Costa Rica, and Australia.
