Variables and Expressions
This is a powerpoint slide that is focused on Variables and Expressions. It goes along with Topic 6 (lessons 6-1 and 6-2) of the Envisions Math curriculum. Problems in this powerpoint are taken from the textbook as well as some original problems. The slides allow the students to see the problems, without seeing the answers. The Teacher can show the answers one by one in order to give students who need more time an opportunity to answer at their own pace.

5th Grade Circles and Circumference
This is a 9 slide PowerPoint Presentation. It goes over vocabulary words (circle, center, radius, diameter, chord, central angle, and circumference). It gives examples and includes animations in order to allow students to try answering/naming the specified part before the answer makes an "entrance" into the slideshow. There is also a youtube video link as well as a link to provide your students with a "brain break" My kids loved this. I hope your students do as well.

Teaching style
I believe in involving students in their learning using a hands on method! I love the use of stations or centers in the classroom, and feel students need as much exposure and interaction with a concept as possible. Students should be exposed to material through a variety of resources (i.e. videos, text, sorts, etc.,)
I am a big fan of Whole Brain Teaching
I incorporate The Daily Five into my language arts section.
