EDITABLE! RUBRIC INCLUDED! CHECKLIST/DIRECTIONS INCLUDED! Students find a situation in the real world that uses a parabola. With this as their theme (for example, parabolas in gymnastics), students learn about the vocabulary words associated with quadratic functions. Finally, they create final products to show off what they have learned! I give students about an hour in class and then 3 afternoons of at-home work time. The project is due on the 4th day. Teaching style

I love to make math make sense in an engaging way and have students truly understand the WHY behind the processes and procedures. I don't consider what I do as only teaching mathematics; I aim teach my problem-solvers to think critically, persevere, and thinking flexibly.
