Solve Equations and Inequalities Checklist with Guided Example

This is a great resource for your students! Here’s a checklist to help students who struggle with multi-step equations or inequalities. There's a modeled example showing how each step is utilized. I print and laminate a copy for each table in my room for students to use when they need additional support. Enjoy! After downloading, please rate me and give feedback! System of equations using elimination scavenger hunt

My scavenger hunts are a great way to practice basic skills in a fun and active way. Students walk around the room solving system of equations problems using elimination. In all of these problems you need to multiply either one or both of the equations in order to eliminate. The first two pages of the document are the student work pages. Teaching style

I try to combine a combination of interesting activities while realizing that sometimes students just need to practice math. The scavenger hunts are designed to practice skills in an entertaining way. Performance tasks are designed to apply real world topics and have multiple entry ways for students with extensions for the advanced. Tests are very similar to the New York State Regents.
