Active Learning Math and Computer Science

Introduction: This is a 5 part project-based learning programming assignment for AP computer science. Each part of this project should take students 1-2 weeks. Each phase of the project is assigned after students have covered specific topics, which I will detail later in this document. Students are asked to write the code for a gradebook. Data is to be read in from a data file. The data is then to be inserted into a series of parallel arrays. Students are asked to manipulate the data in these arrays including printing and editing of the data. This project based learning assignment reinforces students understanding of one dimensional arrays.
