Making lemon/orange perfume is a fun activity that is suitable for a large age group. The pupils perform the work in independent groups with an Instruction sheet and love taking the product home in small vials with greetings.
The product perfume can be used for different purposes. In my class we made the perfume for mother's day but the activity on the subject of different ways to make perfume and its uses led to a research about the reaction of pigeons to different smells.
Materials are used for different Purposes according to their character. The following lesson plan presents an activity that uses cups made from different materials to show how a scientist works.
The offered lesson plan uses 3 simple experiments in order to demonstrate all the things that shouldn’t be done during an experiment. The activity involves the whole class. The pupils are kept active during the lesson and from my experiment never forget it.
