Teaching style

In my class, I focus on giving student-friendly notes with a variety of supplemental activities, aiming to create a learning environment that is positive and confidence-boosting. My teaching style is rooted in the belief that every student can do well even if they say they are "not a math person". My guided notes come with video lessons to accommodate students who may need to revisit material at their own pace, and also come with extension problems for students who are ready to challenge themselves. Most activities in my class are self-checking to promote student independence.

My own education history

I earned my Bachelor's degree in Mathematics Education from Marist College, and later obtained a Master's in Instructional Technology. My academic background has provided me with a solid foundation in lesson planning and instructional design, allowing me to develop resources that are well-structured and highly effective.

Additional biographical information

Outside of teaching, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two children.
