This assignment "Understanding Vocabulary" is great for any subject. These lessons will help students with strategies for understanding multiple choice tests and quizzes in any subject. Through my PowerPoint and the worksheets, students will learn techniques to narrow down their choices in order to find the correct answers.

In one of the documents, students will watch a youtube TED Talk about Plagiarism and answer questions. In the second doc, students will complete / answer through a series of applied scenarios to determine whether they are plagiarism or not plagiarism. I did use AI to create the scenarios (as it is hard to make these on one's own) but the questions all came from me.

In this activity, students will watch a YouTube video about effective note-taking. Students will answer short answer questions to check comprehension from the video, and then apply their own note-taking skills.

In this lesson, students will watch a video and record answers in order to learn how to study effectively. Then, students will apply this knowledge for three of their classes to become aware of their own study skills.

I made this lesson (a little help from AI for the applied parts) because I wanted my students to stop citing "Google" for every source and to use Google as a search engine instead of a source. Students will watch the first five minutes of this video and explore the use of Google as well as learn about the common ways Google will manipulate the search engine filters to adjust to one's interests.

In this lesson, students will watch a video about how Memory works and learn to develop strategies to develop their memory. Then, students will answer questions for comprehension.

Students will watch the following video, learn about strategies for completing reading Assignments and practice with some of the reading strategies.

This YouTube video and guided questions will help students understand how to deal with test anxiety. It is a good practice before taking tests for any subject.

If you are teaching Julius Caesar and want to give your students an introduction to the play (and a little introduction into Shakespeare), this will be a great source for you. It covers not only background info about the play and history behind Julius Caesar, but focuses on some key skills (rhetorical appeals) that students will be using throughout the course of the play. Note: This includes the webquest and the slides presentation that goes with it.

Students will learn about both MLA and APA citations, take notes through my slides presentation and video, as well as practice citing three sources (book, video, website) for both formats. This would be a good activity to start before a research project because students can choose the topic and already have three sources after they complete the practice. I made this activity through AI, so I am making it free. Essentially, I wanted to apply the idea of SMART goals because my students would write SMART goals but not know how to follow through and apply them, so this resource will allows students to apply their knowledge to different scenarios.

In this assignment, students will list the best things that happened the past year. Options are given to them and students just need to fill in the blanks and answer the questions. If time permits, students can then make a poster project to represent the past year. This is a great project to start the new year.
