I have been teaching mathematics full time for two years now. In that I teach Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Trigonometry, and Probability and Statistics. I have also tutored and worked with students in Geometry, pre-algebra, pre-calculus, and calculus.

I combine a variety of methods to make my teaching style work for my students. I use a lot of technology in the classroom (Chromebooks, Mobi, Google Apps, etc). For me to teach math effectively I use all my resources to make sure students are able to explore the content from various aspects. I put the students in the drivers seat and use data to help determine the direction of where we are going next. My students appear to enjoy learning in my class, and quickly discover how to take responsibility for their own learning.

Most recently I received a substantial technology grant in which I was able to purchase 120 Google Chromebooks to be used throughout our math department giving students a 1:1 student to device ratio while taking part in these classes.

I received my M.Ed. from The University of Montana, majoring in physical education and minoring in mathematics.
