Experience

Hey there! I'm here to fill your special education classroom with file folders, errorless tasks and cut and paste worksheets. I create tasks with 3 goals in mind - engaging for students, differentiated to meet their needs, and time-saving for teachers.

Teaching style

I base my instruction on the principles of structured teaching. I take my students IEP goals or general needs and work them into a recreation activity - from general skills like following directions, fine motor, taking turns, communicating wants, needs and choices to more specific academic goals like patterning, sequencing, matching etc. I'm constantly adapting materials to make them more visual for my students. I love using schedules, to-do lists, choice boards, social stories and other strategies.
