This SEL game is an errorless role-playing game aimed at improving coping strategies through repetition and modeling. This game can be played alone or have multiple players. Players are expected to role play the behavior(s) outlined in each step of the game. There are 8 playing cards included that highlight common scenarios that may affect students with effective coping strategies that they can choose.
Use this handout as a resource to deliver general education to others on appropriate developmental milestones and activities to promote age-appropriate skills.
This de-escalation model is aimed at supporting students and staff in classrooms and other learning environments during times of crisis or potential crisis. The model is rooted in the practice of Applied Behavior Analysis and can be applied across a variety of different settings and scenarios.
