About the store
I have started my career in 2020, yes my first year of teaching was the virtual year. I came through a Teacher Prep program known as BCTR or Baltimore City Teaching Residency. I recommend to anyone because they truly are amazing people! I then worked in Baltimore City Schools for 2 years at what is known as a public separate day school. This school is for special education students, who cannot be in any sort of general education environment. These students were not earning a diploma but a certificate of completion. I taught 9th-12th grade English as well as an literacy intervention. I left due to my family needing me to be closer due to my uncle's health. So, I transferred to Harford County Public Schools. At HCPS I work as life skills or certificate track teacher and a field hockey coach. As a certificate track teacher I now teacher all subjects, and co-teach in general education pre-college math while case managing student's IEPs.

Teaching style

Demanding, organized, but relaxed. I am a firm believer in when the work is done no matter the time, no need for busy work. Students need earned breaks.

My own education history

BA in English from University of South Carolina MBA from Southern New Hampshire University MS in Special Education from John's Hopkins University

Additional biographical information

I also am the chair person for Deen Field hockey a recreation field hockey program in Harford county that I created to support local students to gain more experience playing the sport.
