This is a practice activity reviewing the ways that light reacts with objects - light can be transmitted, reflected, refracted, or absorbed. Students are given images of four objects and asked to match the light reaction with each. PowerPoint with images is included for teacher to project during activity.

This is a quick investigation for students to create a rule for finding the area of a right triangle. Allowing them to discover this rule on their own by finding patterns will help them take ownership of their learning and remember what they found.
This sheet shows them squares and rectangles and the areas of each. Students should understand how area of a rectangle is found before using this investigation. The rectangles are presented next to right triangles with the same length and width.
Triangles can be classified by sides or angles. Students are given examples and non-examples of right, obtuse, acute, scalene, isosceles, and equilateral triangles. They are asked to create their own meaning of each type of triangle by making generalizations based on the examples/non-examples.

Students can practice solving problems using this order of operations game. Directions, game boards, game cards, and answer cards are all included. Teacher may choose to write the answer on the back of the cards before playing. This really helped my students that needed extra practice with Order of Ops.
Each section offers students examples and non-examples of a target shape. Students can discuss the characteristics of the target shape from the examples and decide the name of that shape. Finally, an exit ticket is provided to help the teacher determine if students understand this concept. Shapes included are circles, spheres, squares, cubes, rectangles, and rectangular prisms.
