This activity encourages students to approximate square roots. Students match the square root with the corresponding number. I've had students use this with partners as a brief review before an assessment.
Do you want a constructive way to teach students how to multiply and divide integers? If so, this might be just for you! Students complete the sheet and look for patterns. By analyzing the patterns they determine the rules are used when multiplying and dividing integers. When students determine the rules on their own they're more likely to remember them. I hope this works as well in your classroom as it does in mine. Enjoy!
