This is my tenth year teaching in Ontario. I've taught Kindergarten to Grade 5 Music, Drama, and Dance, Grade 4 Homeroom, Grade 4-5 French, and Grade 1 to 5 Health and Physical Education.

I'm a big believer in social/emotional learning. I spend a lot of my time making sure students have the tools they need to persist, problem solve, build strong relationships, self-regulate, and love the wonderful people that they are in this moment. We learn through doing, communicating, and embracing mistakes, in my classroom. I love hands-on inquiry, but only when students are truly ready to engage in this multi-skilled process. I try to maintain high structure and high flexibility in my practice; a delicate balancing act that I am re-learning on a daily basis.
