Time's Person of the Year
This is a great end of the year project or something students can work on if you are going to be out for a few days with a sub. Students pick a person they think should be on the cover of Time magazine, complete a digital presentation and create the magazine cover.

Teaching style
My class is heavily project and inquiry based. I often use the Socratic method with my students.
My own education history
I have a B.S and M.A. in Sociology. I also am certified in 4th - 8th grade math, along with Project Lead the Way certification in Design and Modeling, Automation and Robotics, Medical Detectives and Science of Technology.
