About the store

Experience

I taught 8th grade for 8 years and high school for 4 years. Subjects included basic middle school math, pre-algebra, Algebra I, basic geometry, enriched geometry, and consumer math. I tutor several students one-on-one. I have also designed and taught a technology course for teachers.

Teaching style

I love to incorporate visuals, technology, and topics that students can relate to. I explain the whys of mathematics using proper vocabulary without "cutesy tricks".

My own education history

In 2000, I graduated with a B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. I earned my M.A. in Educational Leadership from Viterbo University in 2005. I have 40+ credits beyond my masters that focused on math and technology.

Additional biographical information

I am happily married with two rescued American Eskimo dogs. I have traveled to all 50 states and 6 continents. I love spending time with family and taking care of my home.
