This download is a single sheet of step by step instructions for adding and subtracting integers. Once the concept has been introduced and taught, I find that many of the students who are still struggling have found success by following these step by step instructions.

Since rounding is such a struggle for so many students, I created this two sheet reference tool to assist with this concept. It uses the “five and above, give it a shove” and “four and below, let it go” approach. Both examples round to the nearest hundred. One page is a rounding down example and the other is a rounding up example.
