About the store

Experience

I started my career at a Montessori School, and later took the lessons I learned and applied them in my classroom at a public school. I have taught for over 19 years.

Teaching style

I believe in a student-centered classroom that provides opportunities for students to be creative while applying what they have learned, and using critical thinking skills.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I have spoken at several conferences including the U.S, Department of State's Global Teaching Conference, the Learning Forward conference, the AAGC gifted conference, and at Florida Atlantic University. I am a Fulbright Scholar who participated in a U.S.Department of State exchange to the Republic of Georgia as part of the Teachers for Global Classrooms program. I recently received a grant from the U.S. Department of State that combined English Language Art standards with technology skills. Through this opportunity, my students learned how to write and design video games based on the concept of mitigating climate change.
