Teaching style

My teaching style is centered on creating engaging, inclusive, and scaffolded learning experiences. I believe all students—especially English Language Learners—thrive when content is presented through visuals, hands-on activities, and language supports that build confidence and understanding. Whether teaching middle school Social Studies or Pre-K language skills, I focus on making lessons meaningful and accessible for diverse learners. I love incorporating graphic organizers, vocabulary supports, and interactive materials that help students make connections and grow as critical thinkers.

Awards & shining teacher moments

Some of my favorite moments as an educator come from seeing students light up when they finally grasp a new concept or confidently use new vocabulary. I’ve been recognized by colleagues and administrators for my creative, student-centered approach and dedication to supporting English Language Learners. From guiding my Pre-K students as they mastered early social studies concepts to helping high school newcomers succeed in ENL, these successes are the moments that continue to inspire my work.

My own education history

I earned my Master’s degree in Adolescent Social Studies Education and TESOL (Pre-K–12) from Molloy University. During my time there, I was able to blend my passion for history with specialized training in language acquisition. My education gave me a strong foundation in curriculum design, content scaffolding, and strategies for supporting multilingual learners across all grade levels.

Outside the classroom, I love exploring different cultures, reading about world history, and creating resources that bring these subjects to life for students. I’m passionate about helping every learner feel confident and curious, whether they’re tackling new language skills or diving into the past.
