This class alphabet book is a perfect companion to the book W is for Wind: A Weather Alphabet by Pat Michaels. Assign small groups to do a letter or a group of letters or give each student one word. Many of the words have multiple word options. A perfect way to incorporate non-fiction skills by having students look up the meaning of the word, write a sentence in their own words defining the word, and then have students draw a picture to go a long with it!
Use this as morning work, a writing brainstorm, or as part of a fun St. Patrick's Day display! Students will write about what they would do if they had "All the Luck". This can be used across several grades, depending on how in depth you go. This would be a great follow up to any St. Patrick's Day story!
