Students will play charades and have to problem solve how to act out a word without using their voices. This will also include discussion questions about bullying and problem solving. Includes a pre/post test to collect data.

Restorative circles are often used to build community in the classroom. I like to use this lesson plan at the beginning of the school year to promote community in the classroom. Many students have faced different types of trauma. A circle can open up our thoughts and feelings on a particular topic and see how we are similar or different from our classmates.

This bundle includes 3 Restorative Circle Lesson Plans. The lessons will go over building community, problem solving, and coping skills. It will have an opening activity, 3 rounds of questions, and a closing activity in each lesson plan.

There may be times you implement a circle because students are disagreeing with one another or facing a problem that makes them feel mad, sad, or upset. This restorative circle lesson plans engages students to share what is making them feel upset and ways those in the circle can support them.

Students will build a sense of community by play a game called Zip, Zap, Zoom. They will then go into a restorative circle to learn about what anger means to each participant, a scenario of when someone felt anger, and what you would say to that person that made you angry if you could turn back time. There is also a closing question for comprehension.

Students will be asked to think about a happy childhood memory and how those memories have changed as they got older. Students will also be asked to relate those memories with their future.

This restorative circle lesson plan is used to create awareness of coping skills. It will dive deeper into examples of coping skills, why they are important, and practicing them.

Teach students K-6 about perseverance. Students will be able to define perseverance and have the ability to make their own Google Slide of what it means to them. Add this resource to your google classroom for students to access. They will watch a video and in their slide be asked to write a sentence about what they learned and insert a photo to match. Lastly, there are sentence starters for students to answer about a time they used perseverance and how it made them feel.

Self-care handout. Perfect to give out during SEL times, counseling, therapy, etc. Works with any age level.

Students will face conflicts at school. Read the scenarios and have students act out what they would do. Great for SEL morning meetings and working in groups.

Students can be visual learners. This body chart provides images and statements for students to follow when someone is presenting like a teacher or school counselor. You can refer to this chart before each presentation.

Have students practice writing out what they are thankful for. You can relate this to what students are thankful for at school or in the community. Students could also give this to the people they chose.

Different activity each day of the week. Convert the examples to the calendar of the month.

Students will define what fixed and growth mindset are. They will have to complete the chart by changing the fixed mindset to a growth mindset.

5 simple coloring sheets with topics such as kindness, breathing, and being calm.

Pair this activity with the book "WEIRD!" by Erin Frankel. It is a story about dealing with bullying in schools. In the middle of the diagram, students will write their name. In between the lines, students will write down what makes them feel "weird" or unique. Maybe a student eats something different or has hobbies or interests that may be different from their classmates.
