This lesson breaks down character traits using the acronym FAST, which stands for feelings, actions, sayings, and thoughts. This first lesson can be used with any book! FAST is broken down, Whole Brain Teaching strategies are used, and discussion questions are given.

Each month students will create a behavior and academic goal, reflect on their past month's goal, and get a fresh start!

This activity reviews place value standards like number forms, rounding, and comparing numbers. This practice is fun and interactive for students to do independently.

This book companion activity helps students organize events in the story. This can be done as a group, or a short independent practice. After you read the story, students will organize the table to put the events in order. This activity also helps students see why putting events in order is important.

This resource includes an informational passage about putting smores together, a chart to sequence the order of events, and a highlighting guide! The highlighting guide is to help encourage students to look back at the text. This resource can be used at the "teacher table", independently, group led, or as an activity you start together and students finish on their own! Make it even more fun and have students make their own smores once the lesson is finished!
