This activity allows students to work in groups to solve riddles to gain access to task cards to help them learn about the different programs FDR put in place with the New Deal, including the Civilian Conservation Corps, Agricultural Adjustment Act, Rural Electrification Administration, and Social Security Administration.
This is a warm-up that allows students to look at a source and infer what they are about to learn. This goes with standard SS8H8.b about the drought and boll weevil infestation that affected the economic factors during the Great Depression in GA.
