My own education history

I always loved school and knew from a very young age that I wanted to be at teacher. In high school, I had an influential math teacher that helped me realize my true passion in learning math. I studied secondary mathematics education at Concordia University Texas, with the the intention of teaching high school math. I ended up getting a job out of college teaching 8th grade math and Algebra 1 and the following year moved down to 6th grade. I fell in love with teaching middle schoolers and loved being able to explain to my students the "why" behind things they were learning. A few years ago, I taught high school before moving back down to middle school where I know teach 8th grade math, Algebra 1 and Geometry.
