Students will sort shapes into two different groups according to attributes. They will then explain their reasoning below their sorted shapes. Each set of shapes increases with difficulty for differentiation. Use as exit tickets, interactive math notebooks, or in small group math centers.
This assessment can be used as a quick check for understanding the concept of multiplication and division with the use of arrays. Could also be used in an interactive math notebook.
