This is an easy learning activity to use during the week of Valentine's day. Give students a box of candy hearts, and guide them into sorting the hearts by color using the sorting mat. After, count how many of each color heart, and then use this information to fill in the bar graph. This is a simple activity that can be used to practice basic sorting, counting, and graphing skills.
