Finding the Slope From 2 Points Drag and Drop- The background of the slide sheet contains four cells, each with different answer choices. Students will be given 16 different cards with two points on each card. Students will find the slope of each card and drop the card in the appropriate answer box. Activity will work as a whole class, student pairs, or individual activity. The activity can be used as a digital activity or print.
After examining and solving the three problems on the drawing, students must decide... WHICH ONE DOESN'T BELONG? because the answer will not match with the others if you choose to have the students observe by rows. If the students observe by columns, then they will see that the problems differ by the exponents. This math activity will have students activating their prior knowledge, using mathematical terms, and engaging in discussions with their classmates.
